Poetry In the Dark

Service Description

We write with an emphasis on collaboration. Every week we approach poetry from a different vantage point, discuss each others' works, and read from a variety of different poets with varying sensibilities. UPCOMING: Poetry in the dark Leading up to the Winter Solstice on the 21st, the days get shorter and shorter. The nights grow long and deep, maybe feeling a bit like drudgery. Poetry can serve as a way to navigate descents like these. In this workshop, we’ll work on and look at poems that revel within darkness, cold, and grief. Through identifying with these poems, perhaps we can arrive at a sense of collective coping. We can relish the long night, and learn what it has to offer.
